Size your incubator to what you can consistently set and sell, not the flock size you're hoping to reach in two years. You can always add a second unit later; you can't easily resell a half-used 350-egg incubator if your market only supports 60 chicks a batch.

- 350 Eggs (KSH 55,000): Commercial-scale. Only worth it if you have a confirmed buyer for chicks at this volume, consistently.
What Actually Affects Hatch Rate (Beyond Size)
- Power reliability. A single multi-hour outage during the final days of incubation can wipe out a whole batch. If your power is unreliable, the AC/DC 210-egg model, or a backup power plan for any unit, is worth the extra cost.
- Turning mechanism. Automatic turning (standard on all the models we stock) removes the single biggest source of human error in manual incubation.
- Egg quality going in. No incubator fixes eggs that were stored too long or too roughly before setting. This is the variable most first-time incubator owners underestimate.
- Spare parts availability. We stock incubator spare parts from KSH 300, so a failed heating element or sensor doesn't mean replacing the whole unit.
